Adult Journaling Workshop for Good Mental Health

Connect with your inner voice.  Create distance between yourself and your thoughts. Become your own best friend.

Do you find life difficult?
Are you highly sensitive?
Do you spend days and weeks navigating upsets?

If so, you may like me find Journaling HUGELY beneficial.

In this journaling workshop I share the writing exercises that keep me alive. This is not an exaggeration.

I journal every day, sometimes several times a day to process my emotions, clear my thoughts and plan my time.  Without pen and paper (or laptop) I feel disconnected from myself. It is only when I read my thoughts on the page, that I can begin to understand what is going on inside of me.

For some people meditation does the trick and calms them down. I need more than that. I need to write from different parts of my brain to access my inner bully, my vulnerable self and my wise self. By witnessing all parts of me communicating with each other I find my way through life’s bumpy bits.

Adult Journaling Workshop in Ardgillan Castle, Ages 16+

I’d love to share these tools with you.

I’m offering a special day long workshop for adults in a beautiful Ardgillan castle in Dublin on 29th August.

It runs from 11a.m. – 3.30p.m.

In between writing and discussion there will be time to explore the castle grounds: the rose garden, the woods and views of the sea. There is a café in the castle with lovely cakes and salads or you can bring a packed lunch.

I’d love to see you there.

Testimonials

Megan's journaling workshop provided our community with the opportunity to stop, reflect and express themselves on paper. Through her joy and enthusiasm, she showed the group the benefits journalling can have on our lives and helped everyone to feel more empowered by the time they left

The 6th classes (and staff) really enjoyed this introduction to journaling. It was such an engaging and personal account of how it lead to a lifelong love of using this skill as a tool to clear a noisy mind, or as a start to creative writing.

Her manner was warm, inclusive, clear and respectful and the children had lots of time to practise the skill, some for the first time during the workshop. Such a helpful resource to have in our repertoire of ways to manage everyday stress and switch off from devices in a meaningful way.

Highly recommend Megan and looking forward to welcoming her back another time!

Megan recently facilitated two journaling workshops in the library – one for a class group from our local school and one public session. The children loved the workshops, in fact, many of the class group came back again for the public session! Megan’s enthusiasm made the workshops engaging from the start and her gentle encouragement ensured that all the children had a very positive experience.

I highly recommend Megan Wynne’s workshop on Journaling. It builds beautifully, is scaffolded and the timings of the exercises are perfect to keep the students fully engaged.

This is a simple, practical tool that is explained clearly with defined achievable goals. It was a very motivating workshop for both the students and myself!

Megan's vibrant energy and interactive style engaged the pupils at a very high level. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to introduce journalling to the class. Megan has a wealth of experience in journalling and writing and presents ideas in a very accessible way as a means of dealing with the highs and lows of life.

The participants wanted to continue with the journalling experience after Megan left and I've no doubt that she has ignited a spark of passion for writing for the children in the class.

A short but sincere note of thanks to you for your excellent workshop yesterday. Our 5th Year students found it to be an engaging, positive and extremely helpful hour, from which they came away feeling uplifted and supported. We really appreciate your time and openness - it has definitely made a difference.
