Creative Writing Summer Courses Online 2026 - for ages 9+

Online Masterclass in Writing Fiction for Teens aged 13 – 18 years

In this weeklong Masterclass Megan shares everything she know about writing fiction.
Classes takes place live in real time on Zoom

Topics covered are:

  • Character - creation, arc & development
  • Dialogue - layout, punctuation, nuance, accents, plot
  • World building and Scene Setting
  • Plot & Structure
  • Editing

The course will run for two hours every afternoon from 2.30-4.30p.m. (British Standard Time)

The group is limited to fifteen.

Course Dates:

  • Monday 27th – Friday 31st July
  • 2.30 - 4.30pm

Course Fees:

  • The cost of the course is €195 (including booking fee.)

Story Writing for Children aged 9 -13 years

In this week-long course participants will learn how to write their own unique, imaginative story.

They will learn and practice the key elements of writing an excellent story:

  • Character Creation, Action & Development
  • Dialogue to show character and move the plot forward
  • Plot – structuring the story to grip the reader
  • World Building and Scene Setting
  • Reviewing and editing

By the end of the week they will have planned a brilliant story and be well on their way to finishing it.

The course runs for 90 minutes each day from 2 -3.30pm (British Standard time).

The group is limited to fourteen participants.

Course Dates:

  • Monday 9th - Friday 14th August
  • 2.00 - 3.30pm

Course Fees:

  • The cost of the course is €145 (including booking fee).

Refund Policy

Should a participant need to cancel 30 days or more prior to a course or event, they will receive a refund minus the booking fee of €25

Cancellation or transfer requests made 29 days or less prior to a course or event will not receive a refund.

Transfers to alternative courses cannot be guaranteed 29 days or less prior to the original course or event booked.

Minimum Numbers

In the unlikely event that there are not enough participants to run the course, it will be cancelled.
A full refund of fees will be issued, or you will be offered a space in an alternative course of your choosing (subject to availability).
