Online Weekly Classes - Autumn 2024

Class Format

I offer weekly writing classes that give students the opportunity to explore and take risks with their imagination, and escape into worlds and characters of their own creation. In my experience this process brings joy and builds confidence with writing.
To bring us into a creative space, we being each session with simple breathing exercises followed by a few minutes of journaling. I then present the day's writing topic e.g. plot, dialogue, endings, character creation etc. I give examples and time for questions. Students are then given the opportunity to write individually or in groups. At the end of the writing sessions, I invite students to read their work aloud. Nobody has to read their work if they don't want to. 

Autumn Term 2024

Online Classes

The autumn term begins on Monday 23rd September and finishes on Wednesday 11th December. (11 weeks)
  • There are no classes on Monday 28th October, and Wednesday 30th October (Halloween)
  • Children’s Course is suitable for 8+ year olds (attending primary school).
  • Teenage Course is suitable for 13+ year olds (attending secondary school).
  • Maximum of 14 in a group.
  • Students will be invited to email me up to 1000 words of their work (once per term) to receive written feedback.
  • Times are based in Dublin, Ireland  - IST (Irish Standard Time) .

Booking & Timetable

Weekly classes can book up quickly, and spaces are limited. If a class is full, you can add your name to the waiting list on the booking page. You will be contacted if a space becomes available.

Children's Classes

Mondays 3.30p.m -4.30p.m.
Mondays 4.45p.m -5.45p.m.
Wednesdays 3.30 - 4.30pm

Teenage Classes

Wednesdays 4.45pm - 5.45pm

Pricing

For those who pay for the full 11 weeks in advance, the price is €220. (€20 discount)

Or there is an option to pay in two installments of €120.

  • The first installment is due before the course begins (to secure the place).
  • The second installment is due half way through the course (1st week of November).
  • Students from the same household may avail of the pay-in-full discount when paying in two installments (Therefore they pay two installments of €220 for their two children).
