Online Weekly Classes - Summer 2024

Class Format

My online creative writing classes include Creative Journaling and Calming Breathing Exercises, as well as how to write Excellent Stories!
I am aware that many children and teens are experiencing anxiety and as someone who has suffered from the condition since childhood I keen to share the tools that help me clear my mind of clutter and free up my creativity.
My weekly creative writing classes are structured as follows:
  • Breathing and meditation exercises ( 5 minutes)
  • Creative Journaling about feelings, concerns, hopes and dreams (5 minutes).
  • Presenting Topics for Discussion: plot, dialogue, beginning, ending, character creation etc ( 15 minutes).
  • Individual or Group Writing Time ( 25 minutes)
  • Students Share Work and Feedback (10-15 minutes)

Summer Term 2024

Online Classes

The Wednesday classes begins on Wednesday 10th April and finishes on Wednesday 29th May. ( 8 weeks)

The Monday classes begins on Monday 15th April and finishes on Monday 17th June. (8 weeks)

  • There are no classes on Monday 6th May, and Monday 3rd June (bank holidays)
  • Children’s Course is suitable for 8+ year olds (attending primary school).
  • Teenage Course is suitable for 13+ year olds (attending secondary school).
  • Maximum of 14 in a group.
  • Students will be invited to email me up to 1000 words of their work (once per term) to receive written feedback.
  • Times are based in Dublin, Ireland  - IST (Irish Standard Time) .

Booking & Timetable

Weekly classes can book up quickly, and spaces are limited. If a class is full, you can add your name to the waiting list on the booking page. You will be contacted if a space becomes available.

Children's Classes

Mondays 4.45p.m -5.45p.m.
Wednesdays 3.30 - 4.30pm

Teenage Classes

Wednesdays 4.45pm - 5.45pm

Pricing

The 8 week class term can be paid in two installments of €90.
The first installment is due before the course begins (to secure the place).

  • The second installment is due half way through the course.
  • For those who pay for the full 8 weeks in advance the price is €160. (€20 discount)
  • Students from the same household may avail of the pay-in-full discount when paying in two instalments (Therefore they pay two instalments of €160 for their two children).
