In-Venue and Online Weekly Classes - Autumn 2023

New Class Format

This autumn I am expanding the format of my classes to include Creative Journaling and Meditation, as well as Writing Excellent Stories!
I am aware that many children and teens are experiencing anxiety and as someone who has suffered from the condition since childhood I keen to share the tools that help me.
Therefore my new term of writing courses will include the following:
  • Breathing and meditation exercises
  • Journaling about feelings, concerns, hopes and dreams
  • Creating and Writing Stories about characters overcoming problems
  • Discussing books for children / Young people that show characters overcoming problems (both magical and realistic).
  • The Craft of Story Writing: plot, dialogue, beginning, ending, character creation etc
I am delighted to be offering In Venue Courses in Blackrock and Skerries, County Dublin AND Online Courses.

Autumn Schedule 2023

In-Venue Classes

I am delighted to be offering weekly In-Venue classes in Skerries and Blackrock, County Dublin.

  • The class runs for 75 minutes and will focus on writing excellent stories, creative journaling and meditation.
  • Students will receive verbal feedback on their writing within the class time.
  • The course is suitable for 8+ year olds. Maximum of 14 in a group.

Blackrock Classes

  • The 12 week Autumn Term in Blackrock begins Tuesday 19th September (no class Tuesday 31st Oct for mid-term)
  • Venue: Newpark School, Blackrock, County Dublin (Ground Floor of main building)
  • Tuesdays 4.30p.m - 5.45p.m

Skerries Classes

  • The 12 week Autumn Term in Skerries begins Thursday 21st September (no class Thursday 2nd Nov for mid-term).
  • Venue: Skerries Mills, Skerries, County Dublin in the loft classroom upstairs in Skerries Mills.
  • Thursday 3.15p.m. - 4.30p.m.

Pricing

The twelve week class term can be paid in two installments of €120. The first installment is due before the course begins (to secure the place).

  • The second installment is due by Friday 20th October
  • For those who pay for the full twelve weeks in advance the price is €220. (€20 discount)
  • Students from the same household may avail of the pay-in-full discount when paying in two instalments (Therefore they pay two instalments of €220 for their two children).

Booking & Timetable

Weekly classes can book up quickly, and spaces are limited. If a class is full, you can add your name to the waiting list on the booking page. You will be contacted if a space becomes available.

Online Classes

The 12 week Autumn Term begins Wednesday 13th September and runs until December

  • There are no classes on Wednesday 1st November (Mid Term)
  • Children’s Course is suitable for 8+ year olds (attending primary school).
  • Teenage Course is suitable for 13+ year olds (attending secondary school).
  • Maximum of 12 in a group.
  • Students will be invited to email me up to 1000 words of their work to receive written feedback.
  • Times are based in Dublin, Ireland  - IST (Irish Standard Time) .

Children's Classes

Wednesdays 3.30 - 4.30pm

Teenage Classes

Wednesdays 4.45pm - 5.45pm

Pricing
